Dr. Mari Heslinga, D.D.S., M.S.
Meet Dr. Mari
Dr. Mari Heslinga grew up in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She earned her Bachelor’s and dental degrees at the University of Iowa, where she graduated with four awards: the Outstanding Achievement Award, the Humanitarian Award, the Community Dentistry Award, and the Dean’s Leadership Award. She then completed her periodontics residency at Oregon Health & Science University where she researched tissue engineering and stem cells for her Master’s program. As part of her residency, she treated patients with complex medical conditions in the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She offers a full scope of periodontal and implant procedures including gum grafting, bone grafting, dental implant placement, and other procedures to help her patients achieve a healthy oral foundation and confident smile.

I enjoy Hayao Miyazaki and Wes Anderson movies, as well as the TV shows Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Community. My favorite place to vacation is in Southeast Asia, where it is easy to find my favorite food, curry.

Dr. A. Halaweh, D.D.S., C.A.G.S., M.S.
Meet Dr. Halaweh
Dr. Halaweh is a Board-Certified Periodontist in Oregon with an extensive background in dental implants. He completed a 3-year Periodontics Residency program at Goldman School of Dental Medicine Boston University in 2007 where he received his Masters of Science in Dentistry and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontology. Dr. Halaweh was previously practicing in Texas the past decade and fell in love with Oregon while visiting. His Professional Affiliations include the Jordan Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Osseo-Integration, GIDE Dental Institute, and the American Board of Periodontology.
Education: MSD, CAGS – Boston University – Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. DDS – Damascus University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Halaweh speaks three languages, and when he is not practicing dentistry he enjoys listening to classical music, spending time with his family, and traveling.
